Tony Partington

Over the past forty years Tony Partington has enjoyed a successful career as a singer, actor, director and producer.  As a vocalist, he has headlined in Atlantic City, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, Virginia's famed HOMESTEAD RESORT, Florida's historic DIXIE THEATRE, among locations nationwide. He has performed with the Curtis Institute Opera in Philadelphia, the Philmont Opera in Wilmington, Delaware and in regional opera venues.

 

Mr. Partington studied classical voice with Wayne Conner (of the Curits Institute), Jeanne Grace, Lois Darling, Mary Vaughn and Maestro Constantine Callinicos (Mario Lanza's operatic coach, conductor and accompanist).

Tony is a member of NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing) and the EVTA (European Voice Teachers Association). He teaches and coaches in his private studio.
Mr. Partington produced and hosted the award winning weekly series "Singer's Spotlight" for National Public Radio and has produced, performed and directed both theatre and opera throughout the country.  Tony was, from 1989 through 1992, the Associate Artistic Director of The Barter Theatre (the State Theatre of Virginia).

As an actor and singer, Mr. Partington has appeared in regional theatre in film and television.
